ABOUT

PROFILE

I have always had a strong interest in design even before I knew what architecture was. Since then, I have taken every opportunity to translate that interest into a full-fledged passion for architectural excellence and design.

WORK EXPERIENCE

SBLM Architects (summer 2013)

Hired to help bolster the firm’s creative and rendering capability. I worked exclusively on a response to an RFP by the New Jersey City University (NJCU). NJCU was expanding its science and engineering programs. I designed two renderings and a floor plan to accompany the credential and written RFP. Go to "Selected works" to learn more.

BlackRock Partners, NY, NY (2009 - present)

Carpenter: I design and build private and group offices on multiple 6,000 sq ft. floors at 545 West 45th. This includes initial client meetings, landlord approval and design to complete build-out.

Architecture Experience

SBLM (Summer 2013), see above.

UrbanBuild, New Orleans, LA (Spring 2013)

Student led project in which we designed + built an outdoor market/pavilion over a year. Built in Central City, the project added programmatic diversity and brought community investment to the low-income area. We designed six movable (in-house welded) vending pods to turn the site into an outdoor market and pavilion. Go to "Built" to learn more.

Danish Institute of Studies (DIS), Copenhagen, Denmark (Fall 2012)

While abroad I designed and constructed a chair using 200 wooden cogs. The chair holds a curved form when in tension and rolls up when the tension is released. Images were used for the wood companies advertisements. Go to "Built" to learn more.

Architect's Week, New Orleans, LA (Fall 2011)

I led a team of five students to design and construct a 1-week instillation intended to inspire thoughtful student interaction on campus. The project was placed on Tulane’s campus and featured in ArchDaily.         Go to "Built" to learn more.

Sukka Design Project, New Orleans, LA (Fall 2009)
During a one-week design/build project, I collaborated with fellow student William Nemintoff to design and construct a modern revival of the hundred year old Sukka, a traditional Jewish place of worship. Go to "built" to learn more.
